Military Training

Enlisted in the United States Navy in February 1953 and served as a Seaman First Class during the ensuing fifteen months.
Seaman Hardy was killed* 10 May 1954 as the result of an automobile accident near Lodi, California.
* Tom Hardy was returning to his Stockton Naval Base after a Mother’s Day visit to his home in Woodland when his car was sideswiped by another car on the wrong side of the highway containing two men who were not seriously injured.
